It does make you wonder.

My Dad was about to place a deposit with a Peugeot dealer hurl Fortunately the chap he was dealing with told him not to place any money with them yet... very shortly after this they went bust!

Off the top of my head I'm not sure where someone would stand - would you fall in the list of unsecured creditors or would another dealer take on your order? I would guess that if you paid by credit card you would have some protection from the card company? scratchchin

Shame if it is the case. I've bought a few bits from them and they seem a pretty decent bunch by all accounts.

I think they've only been open since December 2007 so not much over a year. Maybe not enough time to build a good customer base? Esp. in these times.

The Dacres also own Tonbridge OPC, so they may be in trouble too? When in there last week, it was very quiet, and was told that several staff had been laid off. Shame, but sign of the times really.

Shame.

If only they sold Porsche tractors, they'd have more luck selling them in Norfolk wink

In where? Tonbridge? They are my dealer, though I have no current transactions. Talking to Steve Dennis the other week, no sign of probems then, but things change quickly.
