Cayenne Turbo Makes N.Monkey Dribble!
Discussion
Although controversial, I was able for the first time to briefly apply some saliva to the critical angles of this creation, within the last half hour.
I sat in the beast and fired up the vital functions.
And this sublime incarnation of hemetically sealed lunacy immediately made irresistable sense; it absolutely OOZED quality.
13 mpg? No problem at all, Sir.
160 along the M62? We can manage 175 without too much trouble, if his Lordship would prefer?
Invade Halifax - and remove the socialists by dawn? With or without the sat-nav magnified, your Honour?
The owner, an old punter of mine who'd had every conceivable piece de resistance from both Maranello and Stuttgart over the last few years, had reached that inevitable age and girth in life where he wanted something suitably corpulent and profligate with which to hoon (and I do mean hoon!), whilst simultaneously displaying an abject disdain for The Green Party.
As he tootled back to Yorkshire (for he was a squillionaire [aren't they all?]), I reflected on the conveyance of 2 plasma screens, their associated stands, racks and and a raft of bulky, weighty and entirely uncompact audio-visual paraphanelia with such absurd, obvioulsy hilariously rapid ease.
And I thought, I really rather quite like that.
...over to you, Daz!

I refer my northern brother to yesterday's thread concerning a certain 600bhp creation by Herr Gemballa.

How 'bout a 500bhp 993TT based RUF VW Microbus to tickle your fancy???? C/w Recaro seats, TV screen, 996 dash, steering wheel and gearstick. 0-60 in 5 seconds.

Well, believe it or not but I have driven a friend's VW Caravelle Microbus (sp?), which was equipped with the glorious 4.7l 928 S2 engine and a manual gearbox. Wheelspin in 4th gear on the autobahn was quite easy to achieve. My mate now takes the monster on the Nordschleife
P.S. The conversion was done by Project Zwo of VW tuning fame as a one off in the mid 1980s...
There was a Porsche engined VW bus at the 'ring in late-sept, with cup wheels.
I came round a corner at about 100mph, to be confronted by it doing a 720 degree spin. The odd thing was that the spin seemed to occur about 100 metres after the corner had ended. He went on the grass, but just managed to avoid the armco.......
Very odd sight indeed....!

... I can fully understand his predicament, and have contemplated the motor in question....BUT it just looks so f*#king awful! (obviously IMHO and will probably delete this post when I end up getting one in the not so distant future)
