Can't help with the article , however he has published an excellent book "Classic Motorsport Routes" which features the Targa Florio circuits.

It was my car. I took it down with John Hayman and Richard Meaden and Gus Gregory met us there. Had a ball and a fab piece written by Dickie. He let me write 300 words too !
