High(est) Mileage 996 TT - 140K Km M ??!!!
Discussion
Ok. Just a thought.
How would his financial situation differ...
1) He did what he has... run a single 996 turbo for 140k+ miles then finally sell or p/x
2) He ran a car up to 50k miles, p/x for new one, ran up another 50k miles, p/x for new one etc. Obviously the value of a 50k car would be far far better than a 140k car.
Would the total depreciation in the first situation be greater or smaller than the combined depreciations?
I hope that makes sense. if not let me know
p.s. respect to him again!
It seems he has no intention of changing the car and will run it to 175k+ and beyond.

I was just wondering how much it would have cost him in cluches if he'd bought a 360?
Also the more I think about it there has been hardly anything wrong with that car worth mentioning and its had a hard life.
Is there any other performance car that is capable of so much performance and reliability?
Honda nsx? but thats only got 280bhp
Cant think of a single one

Only ones I can think of which could offer similar punch and reliability are the SL55 AMG and the exotic Brabus / Carlsson Mercs

...but they're not really sports cars. No, the 996TT rules supreme in all-weather practicality as far as supercars go.

True
they are performance cars though as Pesty asked for
Just a thought
how would a 996 TT compare to say an EVO 8 FQ330 or something of a similar nature in all weather conditions? Obviously the Porker would whip it when the speeds start getting silly, but how would they compare on curvy B roads.....I'm not trying to start a big argument or anything, am genuinely interested especially after seeing how fast Buster's TT went, on the A1 on the way to the BNG at Raby Castle, my chimaera 500 is no slouch - but his 996 made me look like I was propelling it Flintstone's style
BTW hope everyone is having a pleasant festive season.

Edited for post Stella binge poor spelling
