Apparently 110-120 996 RS including parallel imports from HK/SA. I think about 500 RSs globally.

I was always under the impression that there were a lot less mk1's than mk2's. Seems I was wrong!.

Is that worldwide?

If so the 6RS must be the rarest 911 ever. Rancey was under the impression they actually lost money on it due to the low volume.

Yes that's worldwide.

If you compare that with 1909 997 GT3 RS's made they must have learnt their lesson. They also made 3329 997 GT3's.

Rancey on titanic yesterday. Seemed a bit high given UK got 110 ish officially, reputedly 10 from grey import and only places getting them were UK, Europe, HK & SA.

Callughan where did you get those numbers from?

From a book called 'Porsche Engineering for Excellence' by Tony Dron.

The 996 GT3 RS does appear to be very rare, I better tell the chap who parks it on the street in Queensway, the car has a bird st wrap.lol but glad to see it being used.

Should have used "sell" rather than "punt" - given the time and love spent on that car thought it would be a keeper!
