Once Iguana sells his wonderful BMW m3 V8, advertised in PH classifieds, could this budget 911 be the way forward?

I couldnt sum it up better any Don

Cost £28k to build!! what the feck!! a nice SC can be had for £8k!!

Oh the Glory of a 1.6 "Cosworth" turbo engine, that wouldnt happen to be the agricultural glory of an Esgrot RS Twatbo powerplant with a cossie badge stuck on would it!

Hmmmmm then again its only got bids for 2 grand so far after all.........

Why do they do it? It reminded me of this one which I saw today on Classic Driver, which has been seen on pistonheads before. It's still an awesome motor, though...

Jeeez now that is really nasty-

At least the kit car thing is a kit & didnt ruin a 911. Ok stupid to spend £28k to make the kit but at £2k im sure you could cope with the detractors (ive seen 1.6 engined 911 kits for sale before at £8k!!) & in truth if it is indeed a 1.6 RS turbo engine, it may be fords nastyest production engine for many years, but they can be tweeked to produce impressive power figures.(I had a hot Esgrot RS Twatbo for 2 months, quick, but well not really my type of thing- read profile, still I doubled my money in selling it on, so I liked it in some ways )

Also if the suspension set up is done well, it 'could' posibly be a fun disposable runabout. (is it a Colvin kit I wonder?)

Ok I'm not a fan of a kits looking like the real thing, why not one of the many individual looking kits out there? but on the other hand I bet a few of us are drooling over that 917 kit or a well built GT40 replica....

Anyway back to the crapheap in hand- quite simply no excuse for this vile 'creation' looks like somat Uwe Gemballa churned out in the '80s

Looks a bit Gerry Anderson to me...sort of what they thought a 911 would look like in 1999.

I like the locking steering wheel cover - presumably to protect the only genuine Porsche part on the car.

Iguana has designs on a Dax, but don't tell anybody. Either that or a Hi Lux pickup for those "cash" jobs.

The Uwe Gemballa creation would be the Cyrrus (or was it Syphilis)
