GT3 tyre pressures
Discussion
Just taken delivery a couple of days ago of a 2004 GT3, and still popping out to the supermarket 30 miles away to get a loaf of bread for the wife!
Well impressed with the handling thus far compared to the C2 it has replaced, quite twitchy to bumps and ridges, but then it does keep you awake!
I think finding a large piece of tarmac to experiment on the limit will be called for once it has run in. I suspect bravery will provide just rewards.
A question for any other owners out there who have their car on Pilots. What are the spec tyre pressures as the dealer did not have the correct handbook to give to me.
Also, has anyone switched to Corsa tyres. These got good reviews in the RS article in Evo last month, and I plan to switch to these when the track being built out here is finished in a few months. How do the Corsas compare to the Pilots on the road.

If my memory serves me correctly, these were the recommended pressures on 964's!! Haven't the cars come on since then? I used to find the 44psi setting made the rear a bit tail happy and led to premature tyre wear in the centre -a sure sign of over inflation.
I used to run my 964 at 36psi cold all four on the road and it helped soften the road ride on lowered suspension without any deterioration in handling.road holding -better if anything!!
FYI Mark Hutchinson (tyres) was at Donington a few months ago checking temps and pressures on a couple of GT3's running Michelin Sport Cups and ended up recomending 36psi HOT on all four for track.
