Can I fit these?

I really want 04 996GT2 wheels but they are so hard to find.

The GT3 wheels are only 11" compared to the 12" GT2 wheels.

What is the widest tyres I can fit on the GT3 wheel?

I like BBS too but also hard to find...

I agree they look stunning on the 2 but you should not fit too wide rubber on the rim. I think it will flap about and prove to be less precise.

315 is the norm on the 12" wheels.

Do not go down the 11" route as the handling will be impared.

thanks all, I suspected this would be the case.

What other options do I have?

I reckon Porsche would rape me for a new set?

Sometimes Techart, Ruf, Sportec etc. in europe have old used rims for sale so check the tuners websites to see if you can buy some 2nd hand ones. I guess from the cars they have converted.

How about Techart 18"? They look good in black with the chrome edge. Also I've always loved Sportecs design.

You are a bit confused I think - you could easily have bought my GT2'04 wheels which I was selling last year and IIRC I gave you first dibs on them but you went all flakey when you had to make the decision and said you were buying something else.

To be fair I owe you one since it was your procrastination which made me decide not to enter into dialogue with the various "chancers" who emailed and the subsequent ebay auction revealed their true worth - which was a few hundred more than you could have bought them for if you had ben more decisive wink

I think you will find that one of your wheels was slightly damaged which I did not want to get involved with.

I bought a set of wheels once for the misses S2000 and they were buckled so am cautious around buying wheels.

Like I said, flakester..... only "damage" on wheels was from me over enthusiastically cleaning off baked on Performance Friction pad material which baked on them on an Autobahn trip to Germany then really settled into the metal whilst the car was sitting their static for two months being tuned.... My "brillo pad" work could be taken care of very cheaply hehe

I have revisited your email, your email says 'I have had 2 offers since the adverts, if they fall through I will let you know'

I didnt buy them, you sold them. Well done.

I was sure I offered them to you (the other offers were being silly with their bids) - seem to remember you saying that you had "decided" to go with the BBS wheels instead -seems to ring true with what you say above re BBS ? Too much talking about it on forums hehe

No I never bought BBS and didnt mention it in the emails. The timing wasnt great as I had just bought a CSL but is timing ever right!

The last mail I sent to you said 'let me know if they fall through'

Anyway someone got a bargain.

Back to the drawing board smile

Thats actually the same price as the turbo hollow spokes from your friendly local opc... circa a grand each... seeing as people sell a set of four for £500 I'd get a spare set if i had garage space !
