Engine Upgrade for 993 C4 Cabriolet - Help Please

Hi,

I have a R Reg 993 C4 Cab (absolutley fantastic car)BUT thinking of getting a litte more Beef under the hood BUT dont want to spend the earth.

Any suggestions? Help and ideas would be great.

Speak to 9m (ninemeister).

Mild tweaking with exhaust/filter (sorry dogsharks!) /chip could get you near 300bhp. Probably 1-2k to do.

Otherwise it takes a step upwards. Probably a supercharger, getting nearer 360bhp, for approx 6k.

In many cases it is simpler and more economic to chop your unmolested car in for a 993 Turbo 4, which has plenty of performance already there.

I want to stay with the convertible though. I may chop it in for a 996 in the next few months, not driven one yet but heard its a littloe quicker and more modern inside. My 993 is a bit basic indoors.

Air filter, sports silencers and remap; gives 305-309bhp depending on the year, total cost around £1400-1500+VAT fitted & mapped including before and after dyno results.
