Jahreswartung = literally, 'years service', i.e. annual service;

Fahrzeugwartung = literally, 'vehicle service'

Is that cunning enough?? If you are ever stuck, there is a translator on www.dictionary.com, but it does come up with some amusing alternatives!!

Thanks Melv but i don't think that makes sense! I'm sure one means 'oil change' the other 'service' but I don't know which is which! I'll try the dictionary...

Anyone know what these entail? In my 964 service book I'm sure there tickable boxes for 'oil change' and 'service'?

Sorry to keep banging on about this but I'm trying to establish the service history on the car.

Apologies Lord Melv of Spear if I, ignorant little minion that I am, have offended your esteemed sensibilities.

'Ask a specialist' could be the response to most of the questions on these forums.

'Farting about'? Thats practically the raison d'etre of these forums.

Looking at your 'post time' may I humbly suggest that go back to bed and get out the other side? In return I promise to run proposed future posts by you for official 'seriousness clearance' before posting.

In my service book, Jahreswartung is stamped near the Motor-ölwechsel/Fahrzeugwartung tickboxes.
I take it any Jahreswartung includes both Motor-ölwechsel and Fahrzeugwartung.
