I don't want to drag the topic up again, just get some definitive figures.

A percentage that Les Dennis could use on Family Fortunes, if you like.

This will then go down in the annals of PH, to be buried in a Blue Peter time capsule in Ted's garden, and then discovered by vandals three years later.

And it will also prove that I can do polls, on anything from merkins to murcielagos

Just clicked my vote & it told me out of 8 people who have voted so far 25% have said its a looker!!!!!!!!!

So I guess we know which way Stevie Wonder & Ray Charles voted then either that or SB1 has voted twice

The thing that really pisses me off about the cayenne is that when I open gt, porsche post or 911 & Porsche world instead of automotive pornography I get some f**king ugly Chelsea school bus!

It’s time to act! Rename this forum ‘Porsche but no f**king cayenne’s especially the V6 3.2 litre!’

Ban it now!

Maybe those that voted for a looker would like to start a defense

You know what, I'd quite like to own a Cayenne in a few years' time - the V6 looks the best bet for value -I'm told that they've lost the nasty silver paint on the C pillars for a start - and it ought to be a cheap alternative for this who need a 4wd.

I still think it's ugly as sin though

And there you all were sh*tting yourselves as the snow fell. My biggest worry was getting the 911 we`d just bought onto the trailer so we could tow it back to the yard give it a wash and stick it on the website !!

We`ve had the thing on the motorway, on country B-roads, towing, full up, empty and now in a bit of weather. The verdict - absolute mustard !! A real car for all seasons and occasions. You lads need to stop drooling over FHM`s cover girl and start enjoying the love of a proper woman. The k-n wears it`s beauty on the inside !

Henry.

...Does that include the V6??

A 2.5 litre 78 valve 944 is quicker. And uses less petrol. It may be talented. But it ISNT a true Porsche.

But Willamp, who cares???

the cayenne doesnt make 911s any less desirable.

I love Porsches and will always have one (touch wood),
but I am not bothered by the cayenne. As long as it makes money, and helps to develop more sports cars, who cares if it isnt a "true" porsche.

It`s ugly...In Turbo, "S" or V6 versions.

It`s a great driver`s car and superbly engineered vehicle...In Turbo, "S" and probably V6 versions (not tried that one yet).

Maybe your right, but why just settle for the inside when you can have the outside too?

I'm very happy with my V10

Well seen three in Bath, two in Dark Blue with chrome around the windows which looked , very dull and uninteresting. However number three was in Silver, big wheels, black window surrounds, looked VERY Mean

So I voted yes.

I care. Diluting the brand, and all that. You would'nt buy a Diesel estate Ferrari, would you?? Even though, with the 1.1 litre F1 derived engine it would make lots of money for the marque.

It would be wrong. As it is with Porsche. I'm also annolyed that the Porsche magazines (and this months Porsch post) are falling over themselves to test the new V6 Cayanne, yet never mentioning that its slow, thirsty and ugly. They are saying its good off-road: Look! A Porsche that doesn't get stuck in snow..

You may think I'm talking cr*p, but I care about the marque, and what it stands for. Porsche is high performace engineering excellence. Another way to make more money is to lessen the engineering. But if that happened, what would the cars become???

How many people 'need' a car that will do twice the motorway speed limit? There's need and there's need if you see what I mean. Long live personal choice, I say. But the Cayenne is a spectacular demonstration of a complete lack of taste.
