Just picked up a second set of wheels (teledials) from Iguana (Ta muchley !), not sure wether they will be my every day wheels or trackday wheels yet. One slight prob is that they dont have quite the off set that cookie cutters do and I either need spacers (which I'm not keen on TBH or slightly longer hubs from a latter model 944.

Anyone know if 85 hubs will fit on an 84 car ? I figured that so long as they bolt to the standard 84 944 discks and 84 hub spindle things it sould be fine.

Cheers
Steve

One problem: the spacers you require are 32mm thick and cost more than a set of wheels. One solution is that we are having a clearout, so if you get yourself up to 9m I'll sort you out with a decent set of 7" cookies for a reasonable donation to our coffee fund.

Alternatively, if you want to go larger diameter, the best choice is to fit 7" x 16" Fuchs wheels off a 911 which will bolt straight on (I may have some of these for sale as well).

I was thinking about fitting 15mm spacers on my rear wheels, but someone advised me that they're frowned upon and banned in motorsport as they can fail causing the wheels too fall off! Is this true or am I being over cautious? At the end of the day it's just for cosmetic reason to fill the rear arches and I obviously wouldn't want to comprimise safety. Would a better solution be to just get some wider wheels?
