Me and a mate are considering this www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=19093&s=119 car as a trackday/weekend run about. Is there anything I should be aware of on the Porsche side of things?

This was on eBay a few weeks ago and only got up to about £300. About £250 more than it's worth if you ask me. A Porsche with a Cortina engine, you must be joking!

You could try Porsch-Apart for second hand parts.

Noooooo...It Mings!!!

The whole point of the 924 is it was cheap because it had a nice VW engine...why replace that with one that's notoriously unreliable when tuned. Ask any Mk2 Escort Rally punter who tuned a pinto cos he couldn't afford a twin cam!!

Start with a proper 924 - you won't have to pay much more than this... sage and onion anyone???
