Brilliant. See you there.

You'll hit similar speed to my TT X50, between 185-190, due to the additional downforce of the GT2 rear wing.

I believe you, but where does the factory get their 196 from? I guess I need to turn in the mirrors for that extra couple. What about tyre pressures?

Bruntingthorpe's runway isn't long enough to reach your car's true Vmax. You would need more than 2 miles or so to get to 196 mph but your car will do that.

Isn't there a corner at the end that you have to go round in proper bezerko mode to carry the speed onto the straight?
I remember reading countless performance bikes articles to that effect.

in reality the corner doesnt make a huge difference although its fun trying wink

Daz is probably about spot on there.

wing mirrors folded can give an extra 1mph on some cars.

The fun is in the trying and the GT2's fair very well.

After all the snow and ice be careful on the bottom corner, it's normally rough and lots of loose rubbish on their, after the weather over the last few months I'd guess it's almost going to be a gravel section!

Standard around the 180ish mark.

From memory with headers exhaust and remap I achieved around 188ish.

So that's 80-180mph in about 1750mtrs (1 mile ish), and then 180-200mph in about 2700mtrs! That's over 1.6 miles just for the last 20mph! I take it a lot of this is the huge drag/downforce the 997GT2 has?

Correct, the drag/downforce really takes hold over about 170mph, someone please fell free to correct but I think the drag increases to the power of 3 as speed increases. The above trace was with standard hp ~545. A 997GT2 has a CdA of 0.66, the 996GT2 is slightly better at 0.61. The Carrera GT CdA is 0.77 (Cd is 0.396 !!!) and manages about 193/4mph from its 612PS at Bruntingthorpe.

Stevo - hope to be smile
