My mate just bought a 996 Cab last week.
Not sure how good the seat is, but he bought one from Argos!

Hi

I use a Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR I purchased from Mothercare for £80 over a year ago. The little fella is now 4yrs old. The back can detach to becomae a booster seat when he's a bit older.
I took the car (996 C4 cab) to Mothercare who allowed me to try the seat to see if it fitted, also tried a seat from Mammas & Pappas that had been recommended on various sites but I couldn't get it to fit very well.
I've placed a rolled up towel behind the base so allow a slight incline in the seat due to the very upright position of back seats. Also tried removing bottom seat (on velcro) but didn't make much diffrence.

The Mamas and Papas ProTec seat is a lot bigger than the Maxi Cosi so I would not be surprised if it did not fit well in a cab which has more upright rear seat backs. The ProTec does however work really well in the coupe. I have just gone from the ProTec seat to a Maxi Cosi Rodi for my daughter (she has outgrown the ProTec) but will be keeping the ProTec to put my son in once he reaches the right age/weight. I think there's a wiki on here somewhere that details posters' car seat experiences.

I got mine from Halfords £15, second one half price. Not very easy when trying to put the seatbelt into the clip but when its in its fine.

Its just a booster, no back bit.
