he bought my cobra recently saying it was for his own personal use and then resprayed it (well it needed a respray) and put it up for sale on his website. Had I known he was going to sell it on I wouldnt have sold it to him. So based on this and the crazy price he has put my Cobra on at i wouldnt want to do business again with him - his huge markup makes me think his other cars may be overpriced too so negotiate really hard if you do go ahead and buy.
I got my BMW M3 CSL of them got a good price of it and thought they were nice n helpful,
some times when you turn up at these places they dont take you seriously or ask you to
book a test drive etc, i had none of this when i called them for the first time enquiring
on that BMW and it was clean and all the things i asked them to do got done....

He may have put it up for sale at the "crazy" price so it doesnt sell and that way he gets to use it all summer....if it does happen to sell, happy days. POORCARDEALER said:

mmm that he gets to use it without adding a new owner to the number of keepers.
Hi Andrew. I have had a similar experience (not with bhp) but in truth with car dealers and I do not mean this in a derogatory way. Their cars are always for sale but is has to be for their right price. So as said previously, if they sell the car for a big chunk over what they paid you for it then it's gone. If not he gets to keep and enjoy it for a while. It may sound a little unethical but in truth I do understand it.

All positive feedback so far -Ollie and Darren appear to know how to look after their clients -but be careful you don't run over the dog!!
I'm confused....
Ollie and Darren, and the dog, are at RPM. Are they the same company? If so, then they are fantastic. If not, I have no idea.

Isn't that number one in the used car dealers book of tricks; "I'm buying it for my fiance", "my wife", "my mum" or "my daughter".pp

ffs, this is totally normal. Pointless for him to lie about it but you sold it at a price you were happy with....end of story dude

I also don't understand - what difference does it make to you if he is buying it for himself or to sell on - you got the money you wanted as I assume you would not have sold if he wasn't offering you the price you would be happy to let the car go for
I would have liked to know where the car ended up thats all - I would have only sold it to an enthusiast but now who knows where it will end up. I wouldnt have sold it to him had I known he was a dealer.
