does anyone know if early 996 tts come with the phone handset when you get the PCM?

2002 model year. the handset was a cost option in addition to the PCM cost option, £142.18 and £1,739.00 inc Vat respectively. (Just checked the 02 price/options book. )

If it was a cost option on an 02 M/Y you can bet it was likewise on an 01. I believe the PCM1 was made standard for 03 turbos but don't know if the handset remainded a cost option. Interestingly PCM1 left no empty DIN slots for items such as garage opening buttons or morpheous geodesy units. This was because the nav disc and the climate controls took up the two slots in front of the gearshift.

Having seen pictures of PCM2, the top of the two DIN slots is now empty, for such garage opening/licence protection armaments.
