I have a Boxster S with the 18" Split rims (the ones with about 10 spokes and a 'shiny' rim) I bought it about a months ago and 2 of the wheels had had the rim reconditioned so it looked shiny, but now after a month of this weather as there is no protection on 2 of the rims i have two dull stained rims and two shiny ones! Is there anything i can do to get it resored e.g. aluminium laquor etc? The car is great it just lets it down a little, any ideas please??? :-)

How old is it? I've got the same wheels on mine and, because they have begun corroding from under the lacquer, Porsche are replacing three of them under warranty! If it's out of warranty try doing a search on PH for 'refurbishing wheels' there have been a few threads recommending companies.

Edited for por spolling!

I use an application of Autoglym 'Clean Wheels' , give it a scrub with a toothbrush, rinse thoroughly then follow up with with some Autosol and a toothbrush or cloth(depending on how bad).

It usually works wonders.
