Well I have finally collected my car, and I'm very very pleased with it too! As you may know I purchased the car from Northern Ireland, I had it shipped to Liverpool so I had a good 200+ mile drive home, although I do really need to sort the A/C asap! lol

To fill you in on a few details, I bought the car from a man called Richard Hogg who is a well respected (and no doubt wealthy) businessman in NI. Some of you may know of him from his privateer rallying also!

The car was inspected by George McMillan who was period trained on the 964. If you Google his name you will find that he also does PPI's for other specialists in NI. He was also able to do some further investigating into it's history since being over there.. it may not have been on the road very much, but it's hard to hide a Speed yellow 964T so people were able to fill in a few gaps, and everything was good!

George also did a great service on the car including fixing the engine oil leaks, and all at a very good price. He also went out of his way to organise an MOT at short notice, and even ran the car to the Ferry terminal! Thanks!

The car itself is, although not in my 1st choice colour, stunning!! The rear spoiler looks to be a standard one painted yellow, in the flesh it actually looks good! I hadn't noticed, but the door handles have been colour coded also.

The interior also looks better in the flesh, but the gear knob, door release levers and the steering wheel need to go at the very least!

I have got to the bottom of the 3 weeks it appeared to be exported for. It turns out that although we are all in the UK, NI actually have their own driving agency, the DVA, and because the car was sold to someone in NI it needed to be registered with the DVA, and as such the DVLA register it as exported! I now need to reregister it with the DVLA before I can tax it! To cut a long story short, this car never left the UK!

Lovely car and yellow really suits the rarer, more sporting variations of the 911.

Well worth pursuing

I love the techart fogs but the car seems to be sat a bit to high so i would get the ride height checked. Its like mine but with a lighter interior...for now
