i am new to this but not new to cars.
have a 944 S2 cab. If i leave for 24 hours or so when i get in the clutch pedal is literally on the floor. I put toe under it, pull it up and off I go. Clutch is perfect. New slave and master have not cured problem which isnt really a problem cos clutch works fine .....just disconcerting when you get in it!! Any ideas??

Hmm, sounds like the master cylinder/reservoir, so if that has been replaced to no avail, I'm as baffled as you are.

Probably quite an effective anti-theft mechanism. biggrin

I had similar symptoms, it was a leaking slave cylinder, are you sure the fluid level is at maximum and there are no leaks or air pockets in the system ?

i had this on a 944 turbo and it was like that for a short time then it got worse ie the pedal would not come back up at all.

new slave cylinder sorted it out no problems after that

Either pipe collapsed or return spring is my thoughts, or possibly faulty master &/or slave?

Mine was slave cylinder as well. If you had it done in garage, i would take it back & say they havent fixed it properly.
