Hi all in the Porsche area,

I am just visiting from the TVR forum for a bit of background information.

I am working on an MBA, and am studying Porsche as a case study. I would like to know the typical Porsche owner profile, age, occupation, how many other cars, why you bought one ( and not a TVR :-) ).

If you do not want to post here you can email me direct

wawoodhead@hotmail.com

If any dealers read this I would love a chat with you to discuss some business stuff.

Any help you can give would help greatly. Note all information will be treated in confidence.

Cheers

Wayne

Thanks chaps, an interesting selection of people.

For your info I have found the following data so far from semi-offical sources.

Average age of Boxster buyer - 47 (30% women)
Average age of 911 buyer - 55

These are for new cars.

Total cars sold last year was 66000, 18K boxster, 28k 911, 20K Cayenne. UK was 3rd largest market after US and Germany, but fast catching US numbers

Few more than my TVR boys :-)

For a bit of company info read " Lean Thinking" by Dan T Jones It has a chapter about Porsche getting its act together, might be useful.
