Porsche specialist in East Kent required !
Discussion
Hi All
I live at the end of the line in East Kent(Broadstairs) and need to get my Boxster serviced plus the dreaded RMS seal changed.
The nearest Porsche dealer is some 70 miles away in Tunbridge. Its not only the distance but the prices they charge that is putting me off. I am finding it hard to find anybody nearer to home.
Can anybody recommend a good independent Porsche specialist a little closer this way?
Many Thanks in advance

I have just phoned around some of the dealers above. Called Porsche Burgess Hill because i happen to be working near there next week. As expected they're price was way above the others. Stated i was phoning around to get an idea of prices.
What i didn't expect from them was to call them back when i got my prices and they would "see what they could do"
the best price i got for all the work needed was £675. Porsche quoted £790.
Told this to the man at Porsche, pause..... O.K we will do it for £700.
Seems the recession has some good points, didn't think a main dealer would flex on the price.
cheers

No direct experience with either of the dealers you mention although I have driven past Chilham Sports Cars many times. I wouldn't call them a Porsche specialist having seen their forecourt stock.
As mentioned above, I'd highly recommend Cliff at Project Nine in Marden. Definitely one of the best in my experience.

My cayman went to project 9 some time ago for some prep work for the ring. Got it back with a handful of trim screws in the boot. Was assured not my car but it didn't look good. When I got home I discovered the toolkit in the front boot was flapping around where they lost one of the plastic securing pins which I had to get them to order for me as they lost it. Then the final straw came months later when I had the car mot'd and the tester told me there were hardly any fixings holding the rear bumper section. Guess who had taken it off....I've used the following:
Tonbridge OPC for the Cayenne (under warranty). Very good.
Stratford OPC for the Cayenne. Ok.
Project9. Good, but not massively under the OPC prices. Depends on who works on the car in quality.
RGA Vauxhall. Ok, good location for work.
HPMotorsport. Very Good.
Good luck,
HF
