I have a 996 Millennium Edition, its basically a C4 but with every optional extra as standard.

I have been told by a few companies they are unable to quote me as they don't have a Millennium edition on their database...

What do others do who have special editions (e.g. Anniversary/Millennium)... do you just say its a C4/C2?

Yes.

Shouldn't make any difference in terms of performance or repair costs. Maybe an extra tenner if the brass plaque gets nicked but that is it.

With most HNW insurance policys they will ask what extras the car has ie turbo bodykit, extra 25bhp you need to let them know these are factory standard on the anniversery as the X51 powerkit on your car would be regarded as a modification and therefore void your cover. Be clear and be honist with your insurers. If you still have no joy a good bunch for porsche are Privalidge in leeds or if you prefer a broker Mark Abbot at Cheam insurance brokers (Sutton surrey)realy know there stuff

Have you tried Elephant and Tesco's they both had the Boxster 550 listed and were able to quote.

As long as you tell them the model on the phone and importantly quote the value you should get a fair quote.

You can get a new C2 for £58k....you can also get factory fitted options on the car to take it up to £72k
It is important to quote the insured value at the time of the quote as they base it on the value of the car insured.
