Get A Free Health Check For Your Porsche 911

Porsche offers complimentary inspections for 911s

Porsche is offering 911 owners a chance to get their cars checked-out at a nationwide 'Porsche Service Clinic' on 16th October.

The clinics, to be held at Porsche Centres across the country, will involve a complimentary inspection by a Porsche technician (which we presume involves a little more than saying nice things about your car).

"Owners can experience first hand the passion and expertise of the technicians devoted to ensuring the cars continue to deliver maximum performance and driving pleasure," says Porsche. Which we think means you can watch while a Porsche mechanic ahs a poke around your car. Still, it's nice to have your pride and joy treated to a free check-up.

In celebration of the 911 range and for customers to learn more about their model's heritage and technical highlights, each Porsche Centre will showcase a classic 911 display, provide four wheel alignment demonstrations.

If that doesn't attract you, visitors can enter a prize draw offering the chance to win a 1:18 scale model of the Porsche 901 (1964) from the Porsche Design Driver's Selection range. If only they were offering the real car...

A nice free inspection. What do you mean I need new pads and disks? I'm sure there was screenwash in there when I arrived? I needed a litre of oil adding, really?

That's nice of them though, I'm sure there's no intentions for it to be an exercise in wallet rape.

Is the prize draw that fantastic you felt you had to mention it twice?

I love the immediate assumption Porsche are up to something and don't want to just make sure their valued customers are getting the most pleasure out of owning their prestigious vehicles.

I like the spelling mistake !

Hang on a minute, spend £60k to £120k+ on a 911 and get one free health check and only if you are available on one specific day!?

Or take any car you want to Halfords or ATS Euromaster and get a free health check off them anytime you want?
Halfords Advice Centre - Halfords FREE Five-Point Car Health Check
ATS Vehicle Health Check

Before you all start moaning, yes I know Halfords aren't trained Porsche technicians, yada yada but come on, surely Porsche should offer free health checks whenever you want? They only give a 2 year warranty too unlike the other big German manufacturers that offer 3 years.

Hold on... I thought porsche did offer a 3 year warranty!! I know for fact that they offer 2 years on used/approved vehicles and it doesnt make sense to me that they offer nothing additional for a new vehicle!

They would probably want to scrap my cars, but the opc didn't have a clue near me when my 964 had a warning light on.

It took a ex porsche apprentice of the year who is a specialist to sort it out.
£100+ a hour labour rate opc, I don't get that for working on aircraft!!!!!!!!!

Sorry PORSCHE I'll go to the little guy who is enthusiastic about a old classic 911

I'll leave paying through the nose to the Tim nice but dim gang who cannot put windscreen wash in the car.

Have you ever turned away from the perfect Porsche because it had a specialists stamp in a service book?

If so, your loosing out as all the great mechanics always leave and go into their own place.

Most of the opc lads "couldn't fit a nut in a monkeys mouth"

I know this first hand, with a mates 996 turbo being inspected before he bought it and problems with it when he got home.

I love a rant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
