Having planned a simple escape to "Bugseys" for the weekend.

Take the lift at apt - surprise:

Flat rear near side tyre.

Use handy Porsche pump - and escape from London.

No doubt tomorrow it will be flat - do not fancy OPC prices.

Happy to replace both rears - "was" awaiting for the wheel/tyre replacements from TechArt -

Indeeded, TechArt wheels will NEVER arrive -

Off to the N/Ring next week - where do I get sensiblly priced replacements tomorrow? Near Royal Tunbridge Wells - E Sussex.

H E L P please!

Get a quote from www.mytyres.net or www.blackcircles.com and use that to strike a deal with your local tyre dealer. I did this last month and got the local dealer down to £180 per rear tyre. Didn't even show him the quote, just told him I'd paid £215 last time, prices have dropped and I've been quoted £186 by an internet company including fitting, but I'd prefer to keep the work local. I ended up getting all four corners done for £620.

Elite Tyres, Horsham -were only a measly pound more for a 17" SO2 than my usual supplier.

Little stuck in the end - need the car done and no time this week to "get out".

Nurburgring on Friday too -

So I found a place in Tunbridge Wells on Sat morning - £850 tho...

Oh well, at least job complete - also handles much better with air in the tyres
