My insurance renewal has just come through and I wondered whether anyone has recently had a successful renewal.....i.e. found any good deals out there?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

I got a good deal with Admiral , however I have heard mixed reports of long term users with them on here.

just renewed with A plan for the third year running, no increase in premium also had a look around but none could match.

When I bought my 996 turbo I tried Aviva who were very competitive, but I am an old codger at 61. Aviva don't use comparison sites, so you have to go direct.

was suprised to see my renewal drop down from last year with Admiral from £730 to £680 (reducing the value below £30,000 seemed to make a difference). Couldn't find a cheaper quote. I've got 10-25% remap and sports exhaust registered as modifications, age 39 and 11 years no claims.

+1 for Admiral, even re newed with them this year as it had only gone up by about £10, wahooo. I pay approx £390, cheapest car I've ever insured!!

I have 3 cars insured with Lynbrook insurance. They do classic car policies and most importantly offer agreed valuation. Plus you don,t need to use your NCD

I have a multi-car type policy with Chaucer through Pace Ward which is well priced. Strangely, I think the 11 year old Cayenne - worth peanuts - has a higher premium than the 996 turbo and the 360. Kind of proves how illogical insurance is.

I am 39 with full no claims. On an Admiral multicar policy and 3k limited mileage, £274. So my 04' 996t with all of its power costs marginally more than my wifes Kuga and my little Citroen Saxo. Bargin.

4k a year...comprehensive with ncd protection. £207....they certainly did 'quote me happy'. it actually went down at renewal time so I didn't bother looking about. maybe made a mistake :-)

Anyone insure their turbo as a second car with mirrored no claims? I'm 33, 10+ years of NCB no accidents and one 4 year 10 months old sp30 And can get quotes of around £400, but no one is willing to mirror the NCB banghead

I'm with Adrian flux for my daily BMW, but for the turbo they want over £1000!! Jokers

I have mine on an Admiral multi car, works out at about £230, 5k a year miles. I noticed on the online form it was cheaper to leave on drive than in the garage. Every year the renewal is loads higher, I go back online get it back down on a new quote and renew, it just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper, helps adding more cars to it. I assume their business model is hoping people won't check whether the renewal is good value and just default buy.

^^^Very much this; though in fairness to Admiral, every time I've gone back to them with a cheaper Admiral quote obtained through one of the comparison websites, they've always updated their price to me accordingly without fuss (one other provider I did this with insisted I had to let my existing policy with them expire and start a new one to get their better 'comparison site' sourced price, which was an unnecessary faff for both them and me!)...

As always the devils in the detail with insurance.

- Your insurer will payout the agreed value quickly
- Let you get it repaired at a OPC if you want (not a garage they specify)
- Using official Porsche parts used

Headline prices are great, it's when you need it that matters!
