advice:

1) pick up phone

2) Call OPC

3) ask if its possible to retrofit cruise to a Cayenne V6

OPC Said No but ive asked then to look into it further!

What do you reckon? should it be easy enough to do?

Is cruise cont operated by a steering columb stalk on those? if yes I bet its posible as VW's & most VAG cars can have it retrofitted, (by specialists) so it shouldnt be an issue with a 2 tonne Golf VR6 estate.....

opps slip of the tongue there I ment Cayenne V6 of course

Cruise control, what's that?

Of the 5 cars I keep in daily service, I have cruise control on three, one of which is a Porsche. I don't know if any of them actually work, as cruise control is for old people who don't have enough strength in their foot to control the gas pedal.

Sheesh, if you want to sleep while you drive, how about getting a chauffer?

In a "drivers car" I really see no use for cruise control.

Could'nt agree more Sharky, the large 4x4 beasty is a long way from the conventional sportscar or Porsche for that mater. Having snooze control fitted is just lazy !

maybe so, but if you've ever driven abroad for hours on end on motorways which put british ones to shame for their zero congenstion, total lack of cones and general quality, you'll appreciate how useful cruise control is on a long journey as well as improving your fuel consumption significantly.
