Please don't laugh at this Mitsubishi owner ...... but I was wondering if I could get some help from you Porsche owners who have the Tiptronic gearbox. I'm having great difficulty in finding the answers from either Mitsubishi dealers or owners - they all seem to have differing opinions.
I have a Mitsubishi Galant VR4 (2.5 litre, 24 valve, 280 BHP twin turbo) with what they call the Invecs II semi-automatic gearbox. I know that this box is manufactured under licence from Porsch and is, in effect, the tiptronic box fitted to Porsches. I really don't know anything else about it.
As you will probably know .... this box 'learns' one's driving style by the use of fuzzy logic. But what exactly does it learn? People have suggested I disconnect the battery to 'clear' the ECU, which I have done, but it hasn't made any difference that I can detect.
Can you point me to any web sites that might explain how these boxes work / technical data etc / owners manuals?
