Any idea how much an OPC may charge to replace the ECU?

Would you go to an independent to get this done?

It might help if you mentioned which car ths is for?

Porsch-apart are able to repair/ replace ECU's which must be more cost effective than a new one from an OPC ££££

Very good point! MY00 Carrera 4.

I figured the bulk of the cost would be parts not labour so the saving may be minimal from going to an independent.

How much is 5 mins labour?

Camco 88 do a test and supply service on ecus for all bosch applications. ECU will be about half the price of dealer.

ECUs are serviceable/repairable..........I had one fixed by Bosche last year, cost £170 from memory.
