Anyone used their Tuscan for everyday use?
Discussion
Mine was my daily for about 6 years and my only car for about 4 of those. During that time I had a mix of commutes from 5 miles each way up to about 45 miles each way. No problems at all apart from making clutch changes a bit more frequent if crawling in traffic a lot.
Nothing better than coming out of the office on a sunny day and taking the roof off the Tuscan to take the long way home.

Used my Wedge as a daily in th late 90s and early 2000s before changing to a Chimaera.
She was my daily till 2006 followed by my Mk1 Tuscan until 2006.
All the above included commutes from the UK to my office in SWitzerland and Germany.
My Mk2 Tuscan is my Dailey but only when I'm not in the US.
Only breakdown was a thrown shim in my newly rebuilt Mk1.
Always great to drive with the exception of the Mk2 December 2009.
Snow and bald tyres down go together.

Yes, I use mine every day I can for commuting. I think it likes to be used. Not sure if the Cerbera before it liked it so much! I don't think rain and ice are a huge problem as long as you're careful. I'm a bit of a wimp about snow though.
No point in having a car like this unless you use it.

I knew I;d posted in a thread similar to this but didn't realise just how long ago it was! Here is a previous 'high useage' thread

I no longer use mine to commute but it wouldn't give me any cause for alarm (except for the HUGE fuel bills now). I was using £50 every 3 days when fuel was around the £1 per litre mark.

10 years total daily drive with my Mk1 (4 years) and then Mk2 S (6 years) and still going. The Mk2 has proved much less fragile than the Mk1 (mostly sundry components failing like speed sensors and oil pressure switches) so the Russian got something right. The only thing to watch as the weekly mileage climbs apart from the increased fuel costs is how often the regular services come up - the car will be off the road - seems to be about a week once a year in my case.
Cheers,
Andy.
