How on earth do I fit the s splitter?
Discussion
I got it off a bloke on here who had bought it to fit his tuscan but never did as the car got wrapped up
I'm going to get under the car tomorrow as it may be more self explanatory when i see whats actually going on.
Im certain that you have to drill holes in the splitter and the bit under the peppercorn bit and then one at the back to fit the bar to.

This might help to get location.

Thanks mate
Just by coincidence i had some tyres fitted yesterday and the bloke down there is best mates with the guy who runs carbondelight, hes getting me a 'mates rate' price on the carbon seat backs. Was thinking about speaking to him and seeing what he would do a group buy of sorts. Will find out.

Right, i must be having a thicko day because i'm under the car and can't work out where the bar goes. Its too long to mount against the fibreglass and theres seemingly nowhere on the chassis to fix to.
If you didn't need the bar it looks straightforward, i.e line back of splitter up with the end of the 'peppercorn bit' under the car (right at back of rad) and then use four bolts to fix.
But obviously im meant to use the bar which is throwing things somewhat.

You have the bar the right way up? As a 'T'?
i can only guess that the bar goes horizontal at the back somewhere with the t bit sticking down? There doesnt seem to be any pics online of how they actually fix to the car so when i have done it i will put some up (if i ever work it out

Take the bonnets off the car.
The "cross-bar" now fits from side to side resting upon the bodywork.
From the center of the bar a threaded rod will drop downwards to the splitter.
The rear edge of the splitter is screwed up into the underneath bodywork. I use a load spreader plate on the inside of the bodywork here.
I have managed to build into mine some adjustment for the pitch, by way of threaded bars and rubber block mounts . But you can not put a huge downturn onto it.
Regards.
