Contacting ECU earl Tuscan
Discussion
We have a problem getting in touch with the ECU of a friends Tuscan.
The car is first registered in May 2000, and here is what we already did:
-Diagnostic port (3-pin) was found, was not reacting with the software in any way.
-The early type ECU had the RS232 9 pin connection onboard, so we opened it and created a lead looking at the exact MBE specification as stated on their website:

Unfortunately again without any reaction from the diagnostic software. There is the slight chance, that we did something wrong while making the lead, so is there any place where I can buy one?
Usage errors can be marked out, ignition was on and immobilizer disengaged (fuel pump primed) and we tested the same configuration on a second car with success, while using the, in this case existing and working, 3-pin connector.
Thanks for any hints in the right direction. We urgently need to reset some error codes and throttle positions so need contact to the ECU via the software...
All the best,
Björn.
