Door / Window seals
Discussion
Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get some door / window seals for my Mk1 Tuscan. Getting tired of the wind noise as the seal isn't quite tight enough, and discovered it also now leaks in the rain!! Or alternatively can I adjust the window so it sits a bit closer to the frame of the car?
Cheers

You need 8 metres of the 266-BLK

I am sure there was a thread on here about it, will have a look.
Racetech direct, Racing green and TVR power can all supply I think, sometimes there has been some on fleebay.
The window can be adjusted by taking the door card off, but it can make it slow going up if too tight.
hmm my drivers window goes up so slowly its almost comical Racetech direct, Racing green and TVR power can all supply I think, sometimes there has been some on fleebay.

so i'll be having a look at how its adjusted i think.Think i,ll order some of the 266blk as my trim looks a bit tired and some goon also decided to cut it about an inch short either side which looks crap.
Just got the 266blk and fitted it.
It now looks so much better than the tatty badly cut trim before (we are talking nearly 2 x 1" gaps in it, must have been all they had left).
However the wind noise is horrific
much worse than before which seems really odd as the doors shut much tighter and the roof is really tight now, i have to actually push the rear down in order to get it to clip in. The passenger door also struggles to open as well now
Dont knwo what to do.

My passenger door struggled to open once I had put the new seal on. Eventually I changed the door solenoid and it works much better now as the new seal helps pop it open. You may struggle initially to get the front of the roof into it's slot but after a while the new seal gives a bit and all should be well. Not sure why the wind noise would be worse though. It now looks so much better than the tatty badly cut trim before (we are talking nearly 2 x 1" gaps in it, must have been all they had left).

I had tried with the Woolies profile seal, but found that I couldn't get the doors to shut properly/windows to operate. Mark advised to get some silicone spray, and apply to the new seals. He did say that they will 'bed-in' given time.
Having said that, I have just ordered some TVR OE stuff from RaceTech Direct and am hoping this will be a better fit - at least I know that the window guides can be adjusted from this thread.
The seal on the passenger door does let water in quite noticeably....so I need to get cracking on this.

What can I say? - much better fit - the "gripper" profile was much easier to shape around the 90 deg. bends on the windscreen header rail.
The roof section was definitely harder to locate, but some silicone spray helped a lot. The windows were "stalling" as I shut the doors, but again, some silicone cured this. Managed to go for a test drive ;-) once I'd finished - and just as it started to p**s down.
Well impressed, wind noise much reduced, no driven water through the passenger window and I think, fewer rattles/vibrations from targa section.....Plus the door really 'ping' open now. Result!
