Been reading the forum for ages now, (and plucking up the courage to chip in too), and have noticed now and then the "I always keep one of these in the boot" items.
So, how about a definitive list of items to have to hand when/if the occasion arises?

Mole grips have been a vavorite of mine, no matter of what I have driven. They did help me out when the accelerator cable snapped on my Sag, a similar situation occured on a Escort van I owned. Always carry a set of those.
