Has this happened to anyone else?

The passenger side tube has melted and shriveled up so it no longer reaches the thicker rubber tube which protrudes from under the bonnet.

The engine seems to be running normal temperatures. Perhaps it got too hot when covering it before allowing it to cool down a bit?

Me too.
Anyone got a quick link to a replacement? (even better if a better alternative material is out there.)

Just make sure that there's not too much slack pipe below the scuttle panel as when the pipe is pulled back out of the way of the manifolds, the issue goes away.

Realised the washer tube hadn't been fed through the big spring inside the wiper arm on the side which had melted so it was hanging too close to the hot air rushing up from the engine.
