My drivers door button has stopped working. It opens fine from the button inside, however nothing happens when you press the button on the mirror. Anyone else had this or is there a likely cause?

Solenoid issue perhaps?

Has it just stuck or is nothing happening when you push the button?

It used to happen occasionally on my tuscan and was either a weak solenoid, lack or use or it just got stuck sometimes smile

Nothing happens at all, window doesn't drop and there are no clicks etc from the door. Using the button inside it works fine.

Check for a loose connection inside the door, the wire runs into a block and when mine did this I just pushed the connector back together.

In addition to the checks mentioned above - Check you have nothing (sunglasses case, CD box etc) on the shelf next to the instrument pod pushing on the button close to the immobiliser disarm 'port'.

This button (with flashing - red, maybe green led) is the panic button that locks the car from inside - - in the event of a 'carjack' situation, thereby disabling the buttons under the mirrors.

Yes - happened to me and took a lot of head scratching before I realised that my CD 'stack' had vibrated onto said button and locked me out....same symptoms - the interior door release would work fine but entry from outside the car was impossible. NOTE the passenger door and boot would also not release.

Problem seems to be intermittent, as back again whilst out yesterday. Going to try and get it sorted this week as away up to scotland in it next week, however can somebody message me the emergency entrance method in case I don't get it sorted and the other side packs in.

Cheers

I would fit a new switch and check the connections in the door, if the interior button works must be related to the door button.

remove the door card, two or three cap heads, but you need the hands of a 10yo to do it!

Can't remember if you need to remove the mirror glass or not.
