Has anybody got any good ideas on the best way to get a decent signal and keep hold of it. If stationary no problem with reception but as soon as you move no use. I understand there is no metal for grounding and therefore the signal is likely to be rubbish. So I went to my local shop and they advised a £600 make over and change to digital therefore loosing all FM. is there no other way forward other than to change to digital is it possible to mount a small shark fin on the roof mid section small and discrete although I would prefer not to have a visible aerial you see them on BMW and Mercedes. But they do not seem to be available in the Hi Fi shops. I would welcome any help welcome thanks
CD player is fine I need traffic reports on hot spots etc

Hi Dave
Have you contacted them about the ariel amplifier yet. They look good. I am thinking of getting one as I have problems with radio signal too.

The copper tape is stuck on to the inside of the compartment cover that houses the tyre weld ect on my car, a vast improvment but not 100% on MW, not that i listen to the radio much any way the music comes out of the exhausts

Didn't you sleeve them? Not speaker them?

Ispent a long time looking at this when I had the Tuscan. I tryed the modwise kit which did improve it but still not totally satisfactory. I tryed making new copper areials and the boaster etc etc. In the end with the T350 I put DAB in which is crystal clear however I have hidden the aerial in the rear wing so sometimes you lose reception and with dab that means everything. I trialed a new boaster DAB glass mounted aerial which didn't appear to offer better performance in my area over the hidden normal aerial.

DAB performance varyies wildly across the UK so do check against your area. The best reception is with the aerial on the outside.

I thought it was just mine that was rubbish, I cannot pick up and radio in mine when moving. CD blasting load is fine . I was going to investigate because I assumed there was a fault, like no areal at all. But now I guess it's just a fact of life. Never mind, the is good.

I have the windscreen-mounted thing. I tried mod-wises aerial and after a pleasant afternoon upside down in my passenger footwell, scraping my knuckles of, etc... it was worse. Have reverted to original aerial.

Only solace is that I put the wires in for a CD-multichanger which is now tucked away under the rear wing and puts out lots of lovely loud music.

Oh - and the guy who had it before me very kindly put in a dirty great amp, serious bass speakers (both in boot), as well as changing the door speakers.

The only problem is the singing in my ears after I get out.

I would send the mod-wise one back for a refund, it will be the first. Not quite sure what was in the passengers footwell though ?

Passenger footwell is the easiest route from the radio head unit to the boot - worked a treat on my Tuscan, much better radio reception with the Mod-Wise kit

Maybe you fitted the aerial cable next to the power for the CD changer? not the best idea if you can help it...
