Just back - well, last Thursday, from a run down to the 'Ring for the Old Timers GP and then on to Nuremburg to catch up with a mate of mine.
About 1650 miles, used about 0.5 litres of oil.....but sh*t loads of petrol! Met lots of German TVR-nuts at Nurburg, amazed at how popular TVR's are - and the number of folks that have more than 1!
One issue - bashed N/S exhaust can on rough road on campsite (had to put some 'slap' on to stop it dropping off as weld was cracking). Other than that, car was fine.

Of course are TVR's very popular in Germany in a very special group of gentlemens drivers.
I often meet gents with TVR so I am in process to find one next month in UK.
It is a virus that you never get away.....fascinating true british sports cars. I like these cars.
You are always welcome here!

I went to the Old Timers GP at Nurburg - - got to do 2 laps of the 'Ring on Saturday morning. Was absolutely 'buzzing' afterwards!
Made to feel very welcome by all of the German members of the TVR club. You're right in saying that there is a real enthusiasm for TVRs - it does mean though that many UK cars are going over to Europe...leaving fewer for us poor Brits ;-).
