Clunking sound..

I keep getting a clunking sound (as if a springs being released) from what appears to be the front suspension, only happens at very low speeds (forwards and reverse) though..any ideas what this could be?

Does it happen when applying the brakes?

Have known it to be the brake pads moving in the calipers.

i had this, turned out to be the drag link bush on the suspension was allowing the wishbone to move back and forth. i replaced all the bushes and transformed the car totally

Could be the front drop link, the bushes on them are known to go.

Sounds like a good excuse to change all the bushes
