Courtesy or Insult?
Discussion
Read a few threads and spoke to a few people and Im sure TVR garages are having a laugh with the cars they give out while servicing
Ive read and heard about Corsa and Pugs
Where do you go and what car do you get.
Whos the best in the North West for servicing as an all round package ???

hmm, you don't actually have the right to any car, so be thankful for anything remotely modern.
courtesy cars are mistreated by people (my own beemer I lend out to people has so far suffered a broken window, a broken sunroof handle, a ripped seat, a broken under-dash panel and a kerbed alloy ..ok it's a cheap crap car but it's *my* cheap crap car thankyou!!)
courtesy cars always come back with no petrol left in them.
courtesy cars always come back dirty.
courtesty cars always come back with 1000 miles on them extra (where do you guys drive to???????)
sheesh ...

There does seem to be a difference between dealers. For Example, I tend to get either a Saxo or a Ka from walldonway when I take my car in for service whereas a friend who just bought a boxster had an Jag X type delivered to work on low loader that then took his car away and returned it once serviced.
To add insult to injury his service cost less than mine did.
Is it that Porsche dealers are more flush than TVR dealers, or do they regard boxsters as a loss leader before they can sell you a 996 turbo and recoup all the money ?

Henley Heritage offer one of the new Nissan Micras. It does make you feel a bit silly tilting into country corners on your way to collect your menacing black Tuscan. (This is my third posting to follow yours, Rolex. We seem to be interested in the same subjects.)
Lucky you got the Micra.
The Vectra with no brakes was the most entertaining 'courtesy' car...
As you say most cortesy cars are rubbish..But lets face it, If you were a dealer would you lend out a nice new TVR to a person that will Thrash the nuts off it, smoke in it, And probably even off road in it, Never mind nick bits off it. They know you thrash the little corsa's around they aint dumb....
