stalling in heavy traffic

she needs a service but is running really well nonetheless...
however.
Stalling, when slowing to a stop for lights etc, or jams.. or any place with loads of people, she will stutter and stall sometimes. when it happens it will then happen again and again til im free of the traffic.
it wouldnt be so bad but i have the carbon can co. loud cans and a full decat. So im that t
t that cant drive his flash car.
and every rev to keep her alive is deafening... and every start up is proceeded with a pop bang etc.
i love this car but i need to stop this stall. a man can only blush so much.

I don't know TVR foibles from a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...I would however suggest a quick (cheap) first port of call would be the idle control valve being covered in crap.remove it from the throttle body and give it a good dose of brake cleaner/degreasant/whatever else that looks like it would strip the armoured plate of a Challenger tank. Dry it out and pop it back in.An hour having a happy fettle with five quids worth of aerosol, could easily save you a four hour diagnostic bill, if it doesn't, its not really the end of the world.
