Tuscan Door Adjustment

I've been having problems with the passenger door opening / closing on my 2000 Mk1 Tuscan. I beleive the problem lies with the door alignment so the door catch is not catching the microswitch - this is backed up by shutting the catch with a screw driver instead of the door and the window shuts, and the catch opens properly in this state (neither of which happen when I close the door). Looking at the door, none of the shut lines appear to line up properly so I think it's time for a bit of readjustment.

Has anyone done this before (I'm sure lots of you have) and, if so, what do I need to do. All help is appreciated and pictures would be nice.

Had a bit of the same issue, although microswitch was being actived. Passenger door was not aligned properly and wouldn't open without pressing button and pulling door at the same time.

I adjusted the lower doorhinge. Not quite sure were the screws were but I thought they can be found by removing the carpet a bit. Loosen them (support the door !)and then thighten them lightly so the door won't lower but is adjustable.
Then adjust door by pulling it upwards (or downwards) and shut it carefully.

It's a bit fizzling up and downwards to get the exact aligment of the door. Be patient. It's not difficult.

I believe that you can adjust it on the peg that goes into the catch, I think it is covered in the GV manual.

The microswitch in the lock also sometimes need a tweak.
