I'm expecting my Tuscan back from Dom in the next week or so... and I'm expecting that my current "high street" insurer isn't going to give me what I want insurance-wise. I've had a respray earlier this year and now the 4.5 upgrade. Along with a rebuilt gearbox, nitrons, full re-bush, CCC's, raceproved clutch and a few other bits and pieces it now has most of the desirable upgrades.

I'm going to want sensibly priced cover and agreed value (not sure on how much?).

Any recommendations?

Try Classicline or Henderson Taylor. Both specialists and know what you're talking about when you call them.

Can you post how much it cost to insure the 4.5 ?? If not £ then the % increase will be fine smile

Not much point in posting isolated numbers like that as everyone's situation differs, experience, driving record, mileage, car garaged or not etc etc.

One person may only pay £50 whereas someone else may pay £500, just give your insurance company a call and ask what they'd be able to offer you.

I'll happily share before and after once I have the after, no worries.

I've also got to work out what the value of the car will be... any suggestions?

I insured my 4.5 Tuscan with Henderson Taylor. Very helpful and well priced, imho.

O.K but i'd say that % would still be roughly the same from original to 4.5!...

Did you go for agreed value? My current mainstream insurer will cover the car but only at "market value" based on a standard Tuscan. They admit this is not a lot of good, but it is all they will offer...

They don't offer agreed value. Mannings do however it would be max 5000 miles a year.
