The previous owner had glued this. It's difficult to access it and scrub off the glue and so I'd like to know if its easy to dismantle where the wheel and dash is.

A lot of people glue the top pod in as it never stays where it should, if it's the top pod you are talking about then it's very easy to remove. A screw on each side and when you lift it off, do it slowly as the gear change/max revs lights are plugged into the circuit board behind the LCD screen. Mr C

Wow, now that is a lot of glue, someone got a bit carried away there.
On my pod cover there is only one cable, you can see the top part in your pics of as you have removed the top bar with three lights on it. Mr C

That's not going to be easy to shift without damaging the vinyl, I would first try a hairdryer to warm it up and then prise it off just using you fingers.

the glue was nothing to do with me...honest guv ! the most adventurous diy i attempted was changing a fuse and adjusting the boot switch smile

Hey pac-man smile

I've done a great deal to fix the little things ! When I'm done with the leather I'll be changing the carpets all over !!

And sorry for assuming it was you who had done it frown didn't want to put you on the spotlight

hehe no probs...im glad you're having fun and attempting the little jobs i bottled out of smile

you could always attempt to dye the carpets..some people have had good success on here with kits.

i always found the top of the pod quite wobbley...even with all that glue! i wonder if anyone has a good solution to this ?

Hi.Thanks for the pictures.I guess the person who bodged that up never made airfix models as a child.Did he have a white stick?
I'm going to give it a go right now.I'll post pictures of my attempt.
