Cats, sports cats or decat

My cats have melted again, second time so I need to decide what to do. I will have the car diagnosed and then rolling roaded and mapped but can't decide what to fit.

I had decats, TVR Power decat chip and CCC's before but didn't like the raspiness, although liked the extra power. I like cats and CCC's but have had 2 pairs of cats melt. The car is having the decats and some blue flame cans fitted today so I will have to see how this sounds and drives. The pain with decats is MOT time and having to get the cats refitted.

I have the option of buying either some standard cats or some racing green sport cats. Which would you go for? Are the sports cats worth the extra outlay?

I can't help with your cats query, but I'd be interested to know about your blue flame cans, I thought they went out of business. I've always liked the blue flame oval shaped shark nose cans but haven't been able to source them.

Instead I went for a complete new ACT big bore exhaust system with their round shark nose cans fully sleeved; the complete system produces a deeper tone, but ideally I'd like to have the blue flame type cans, do you have a contact you could possibly pass onto me?
