My rad fans both work fine but when I drive home into central London I can hear one of them is on as I get into my car park. As soon as I turn the engine off the fans stop. Is this normal? On my other cars the fan will continue to run for up to a minute to cool the engine even after the ignition is off.

Is this just a TVR-ism??

Thanks

This is normal. Ignition goes off, fan(s) goes off. Some manufacturers equip their cars with a residual heat fan run on function, but by no means all. TVR don't.

In the case of a Tuscan, as long as both fans run when the temp is above 94C, they turn off again when cool, and the car isn't overheating then all is well.

Thank you.

With TVRs is the other way round - If you hear your fans working with the engine off, then you need to start worrying. Means you probably have a faulty relay, and will drain your battery.
