Carbon door cards

Was over at hhc yesterday and whilst there had a bit of a nose round their cars. They have a red tuscan which has some very snazzy carbon look door cards. Looked miles better than the flocked ones in mine so does anyone know who makes these?
try looking up ph member nightspirit, he made a fantastic set for his tam, look at his blog http://night-spirit.co.uk/tamora_blog/ on here.He did a really pro job on his interiorCheers for all pointers, have spoken to tony at HHC and they were apparently a factory option. I would reckon to get them made would be expensive so may have a go myself. Must be possible as the bits nightspirit made look ace, however I can't see if being anywhere as easy as the guys in the vids here make it look!

I think raceproved may be having a look at doing Carbon fibre door cards for the tuscan so might be worth having a word with Brendan over there.
Could even be worth polling interest on here as a group buy would help all parties I guess?
I may be interested in this for MkII plus other bits like the cards under the B post etc

Yes, you are right. I've done several parts withe the Carbon Mods kit, but you need a LOT of practice to get it right. You can do it at home without vacuum, but it isn't anywhere as easy as in the video. And it's very time consuming if you want good results.http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Departments/carbon-fib...

I'd be interested in this too, for a MK1 though.Could even be worth polling interest on here as a group buy would help all parties I guess?

At 90 a go for the larger kit (1m2) it wouldn't take too many failed attempts before it would be cheaper just to get some made I suppose..
Could also try a company called Fibrelyte, used them years ago to make some parts for an RC car at a reasonable cost. I believe they are still in operation and do larger stuff for race cars etc.

I bought a carbon mods kit to skin a few bits in my Tuscan. So far I've done the dash pod but it was a fiddly job and needed quite a few layers of resin to get a decent finish. It's quite easy to rub through the resin if you're not careful on the curved surfaces. I'm going to do the radio pod next but may leave the centre console and door cards as I'm not sure I can get a good enough finish by hand.
