Hi Walford, The answer is yes. Running on Decat. Back Boxes are still in place.

Back boxes are more of a flow restriction than the cans, due to the 90 deg turn in them

but i think deleting back boxes would creat a dramatic change in back pressure meaning engine remap would be in order??? cans are simple to change too and ive been told the loud ones sound a fair bit better! which seems to be the case watching endless youtube vids!

Lots of posts about cans with decats. For me decats and loud CCC'S was a horrible raspy sound. I found cats in and CCC's was the best sound. I now have decats with blueflame shark nose cans which is a lovely deep sound. I am also going to try sports cats and Blueflame shark nose cans come MOT time.

I am just after that nice noise you get when you lift off the throttle - like you get with the classic le mans racers. agree about the nasty raspy sound though. how are the blue flame ones? i ask as some one has a set of the half baffled blue flame cans?

The blue flame are the muts nuts. You still get the pops and bangs on lifting off but without any raspiness. I sold my CCC's after trying the blueflame cans. I would get them bought as they are very hard to come by! Blueflame no longer make them.

I actually like the raspy sound, i'm not sure what it is i like about it but i think it sounds pretty raw and not too superficial.

I recently got some ccc's but didn't have the bottle to have them fully sleeved as i have a decat too, i've not heard them properly yet due to only driving the car with no windscreen (cars been painted) but i think they are too quiet for me, there is about 3" of perforation in them.

They definately aren't loud though by any means (maybe i'm deaf) hehe
