For some reason the button to open the boot has packed up, trapping my laptop and more importantly wallet inside! Any chance someone could PM me the trick to getting it open? Please!

Folks will be reluctant to reveal 'secret' way into car to someone who has only posted 14 times.

I suggest you speak to previous owner or ask where you get it serviced.
Hope you resolve problem.

Thanks for your help both of you! Why would I register for the forum, pretend to own a tuscan, and then 2 years later decide to try my luck at breaking into someone elses boot?

Worked it out in the end, think it was moisture getting into the electrics so should be relatively easy to sort out hopefully.

Glad you got it sorted.
...I've been ticked off on here for just 'hinting' at the alternative entry, and to be fair, you are not a 'regular'.
