Rear indicator led's very dim
Discussion
Hello all!
My driver side rear indicator has gone very dim.
Passenger side works fine, when locking and unlock and also when indicating. Driver side comes on but you can barely see it when unlocking/locking, indicating. I did notice a whole back that it did it when unlocking/ locking but not when indicating.
Any ideas what it could be? I'm guessing a dodgy connection somewhere???
It's a mk1 so has the led indicators on the rollover hoop

Off the top of my head, sounds like a high resistance somewhere.
I'd check connections on the LED cluster itself then work forwards. IIRC there are several multi-pin connectors in the void btwn the 'inner' boot skin and the outer panel. If you tke the 3" bung out of the inner skin you'll be able to grovel for various connectors.
There might be some in the B post void behind the trim panel. Basically, give them all a good spray with electrical cleaner.
